IDOCs » ‘The choreography of documentation’ - sharing LEAP Teaching Residency NL, FI, SE
‘The choreography of documentation’. Our motivation for this Teacher’s Residency was to develop our communicative values within documentation. We wanted to investigate the act of documenting. Looking more deeply at why we create content, how we create it, which ‘audience’ we would like to address, which context might need to be provided and which forms/media would fit the documentation best. From ‘virtual & artificial’ into ‘virtual & tangible’.

‘The choreography of documentation’

From quantity to quality: the creation of meaning during the process of documenting.

Our motivation for this theme was to develop our communicative values within documentation: Idocde.net is up & running with the amount of documents increasing every day. We feel that, as key teachers, we can now enter a next level where we investigate and discuss the act of documenting. Let’s collectively look more deeply at why we create content, how we create it, which ‘audience’ we would like to address, which context might need to be provided and which forms/media would fit the documentation best. To actively shift from ‘virtual & artificial’ into ‘virtual & tangible’.

We aimed for:

  1. Finding a relationship between our professional references and the current context of idocde
  2. Combining modern day aesthetics with in-depth reflection.
  3. Investigating of the presented forms and investigating the presented content.
  4. Enhancing our skill of documenting using filming and writing as a media.

At the end of the week, we had a new collection of experiences as teachers, performing bodies and documentators/writers. We will share a reflective, performative impression of our Teaching Residency with our Swedish and Finnish buddies.
