I find this point of view very important, and often forgotten, it seems. In an every day hurry and a jungle of practicalities? Being able to invest more in yourself as a teacher in this way does not just sustain and highen the quality of the work but also take care of us teachers, make us less tired from the work i believe, keep up the inspiration. Thank you for the great graphics that describes it so well!

Thank you for this supporting comment! I wouldn't mind to exchange experiences if we say we give us a chance to apply it for the coming times. i found it by researching on lifeenergyprocess. which is a thing the best teacher i ever had applies stubbornly to her teaching method. I witnessed that it is very different and not popular at all but yet the most most valuable way. so basically what she did is this on us students. constantly enquiring what we move, how we move, what happens while we move, in us. and then find our own answers to our own struggles.... instead of a teacher telling you what the issue is. I learned that i as student am my own teacher and i find that the most convincing idea!
So tell me Eveliina, as I may ask, where would you apply this picture to? what is the issue for you at the current moment that would make you think you would like to inquire like this?

Its a very simple and clear way of visualizing a process that I believe is going on all the time, more or less consciously.
As I prepare classes I use concepts, knowledge and of course exxperience, as I teach based on my plan intuition and spontaneous decisions are in the foreground, as I write down, what actually happened in class, I reflect, revise and sometimes wonder. All in an ongoing circle ...
Thanks for bringing it to consciousness!

I'm busy with analising the movement and I was reading a book about Dance Technique (Tanztechniken 2010) in particular the chapter "techniques of observation" (techniken der beobachtung). The author in the introduction is asking some question like: is already motion analysis when a dancer follows the explanatory corrections of his teacher? when the student unconsciously breaks down into smaller items led sequences, in order to imitate them?

I strongly believe as you said that the teacher should train the student to self-reflection but don't you think that this process is already starting before?
If think your picture is the visualisation of those questions and if you allow it I would show it to my students. Thank you.

What a good question to ask! What is the teacher self? Can it be separated from the creator? From the dancer? At the moment I think practicing being in awe for myself with the moving nature of myself and those who surround me would nurture my teacher self the most.
