SOMATIC DIALOGUES

A 3-day workshop that brings materials and approaches of three great somatic schools into a dialogue.

This program is also an opportunity to know more about our extended training program on Somatic Movement Education to be launched by mid 2023, directed by Eszter Gál, Ági Gyulavári & Ferenc Kálmán.

The workshop provides an insight into unique values, theoretical background, toolbar and major topics of the Skinner Releasing Technique, Laban Bartenieff Movement Analysis and Body-Mind Centering®.The somatic weekend is focusing on  the  knowledge and resources arising from the dialogue of these three somatic schools. Participants of any professional and movement background are welcome, including   people from the fields of arts, health and therapy.

We’ll explore physical, functional and expressive aspects of movement,  and the diversity of movement experience from the approach/through the lense of three somatic schools, represented by Eszter Gál, Ági Gyulavári and Ferenc Kálmán. We’ll experiment, dive deep and emerge through creative processes and verbal reflections to articulate and grasp our experience.

During the weekend, the Somatic Dialogues team members will introduce themselves and give a personal insight into the themes, materials, and perspectives of the new 20-month-long Somatic Movement Education training program, starting in summer 2023. The training program is designed to meet professional standards and requirements of ISMETA.
