How could you make a statement with your body? How to communicate and tune through Skype as a meaningful challenge, beyond the limits of its frame/screen?

Listening is the core. Maintaining this state of listening and analysing it is a concern for a constant reformulation of movements. How to go beyond an external codification, how to live from the experiential point of view of the body-voice, how to root on personal and biographical aspects, and still be authentic and present?

Elements for the workshop: tuning through somatic techniques and music improvisational structures, one realizes that focusing can zoom perspectives into new information. Tracing the space, combining limits and limitation of vision and hearing will lead us to the point of emergency of movements and sounds. Teaching is a challenge to make us deal with interrelation and responses for a composition of the group proposal.

Skype ideas in the laboratory: connecting different spaces and/or environments; might be outside in the street or in a differente place on the building; connecting and composing through this connection; the screen as a challenge where you have to compromise - what does dance add.

Organized Symposium "The body that talks and thinks" Technologies and Arts College-Lisbon, linking somatic knowledge, social-community aspects and academic thought. 

Eva Tremel – EDDC/Arnhem; music education Salzburg; improviser- collaborator; teaches dance in local community to elderly people and mentally disabled; teaches at Artez school for theatre and dance.
